Orlando Land Trust | COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 | A Message from Our Board

All of us at Orlando Land Trust are dedicated to protecting and preserving green space for healthier life in Orlando. Right now, with COVID-19 in our City, healthier life means loving your community by staying at home and practicing social distancing.

For those who are out serving in essential roles, thank you for your faithfulness and care. For the rest of us, please stay at home for the wellbeing of our community. Stay home to invest in our future.

Months from now when our City recovers, Lake Eola Park will again be a place for families and individuals to gather, relax, interact and enjoy cultural events and health walks.

As you know, exercise is critical for our physical and mental health, especially in the middle of these strenuous times. Walking and running is permitted at Lake Eola – just do it alone and follow the City of Orlando guidelines. Let’s all make certain to practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet apart.

Our City has overcome tragedy before with a common resolve for the good of others, and as a community we can fight this virus with a united front. You can make a difference. When we see medical personnel and other frontline workers, call out a hearty “thank you” while keeping an appropriate distance.

Together we look toward a time when Lake Eola Park and our” City Beautiful” will again be an oasis for family and friends to gather. For now, invest in our future by staying healthy, loving well and encouraging others. We will get through this together.
