Grandmother's Legacy of Love

We have closed donations for this beautiful project.
Thank you for your continued support.

If you would like to donate directly to Orlando Land Trust, you can do so below. Please reach out to learn more.

Dear Grandmothers of Central Florida,

I’m writing to you as a grandmother. I have lived in Orlando all my life and our family has enjoyed five generations here.

Having grandchildren is one of the life-giving blessings we as grandmothers enjoy. From that perspective, we all want to preserve what we cherish about Orlando and leave a legacy for our grandchildren to enjoy forever.

The Orlando Land Trust wants to do just that! We are working to save the land surrounding Lake Eola from high rise development encroaching on the “crown jewel” of our City. In these unusual and uncertain times having Lake Eola as a safe place in which to enjoy quality time with families – especially our grandchildren – is paramount.

We are asking you, beloved grandmothers, to make a one-time donation on behalf of each of your grandchildren. These monies will help us reach our goal in purchasing the property on the corner of Rosalind Avenue & Central  Boulevard. Orlando Land Trust is pleased to be partnering with the City of Orlando who is matching the funds raised. We have received contributions from organizations and individual donors and we are so grateful. Now, there is an opportunity for grandmothers of children who are the future of “The City Beautiful.”

Your grandchildren(s) names(s) will be permanently displayed at a site to be designated in the park for your family to visit for years to come. As a symbol of your generosity, each grandchild will receive a personalized certificate suitable for framing. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Please make your check payable to Orlando Land Trust, P.O. Box 532075, Orlando, FL 32853-2075 or donate online. This is a tax-deductible donation. Please include each grandchild’s name and your “grandmother” name (i.e. Grandma, Mimi, Gigi, etc.). If you know other grandmothers who would like to have their grandchildren recognized, please share this information with them.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Any questions, please call, Sherry Krawczyk 407-353-2146.

Sincerely,

Sheryl Smith Krawczyk, Chairman
