City Council Scheduled to Vote on Proposed Phase 2
Exciting News!!!
ORLANDO, Fla. – As you know, in 2021 the Orlando Land Trust in collaboration with The City of Orlando purchased the 7-11 property located on the corner of Rosalind Avenue and Central Boulevard. Since then, The City of Orlando has created a beautiful park at this location to enhance the expansion of Lake Eola Park.
Orlando Land Trust has continuously regarded the park acquisition as Phase-One of a two-phase process to expand Lake Eola Park. Phase-Two would require adjacent land on Central Boulevard to create a Western Gateway to the Park as described in the Downtown Orlando Vision Plan.
We are pleased to announce that the City of Orlando and the Community Redevelopment Agency have a contract to purchase the property which will connect the Phase-One parcel with Lake Eola Park. The addition will establish the highly desirable Western Gateway for Orlando’s crown Jewel in the heart of downtown.
